WHO DOESN’T LOVE ICE CREAM?
This recipe is such a winner, that I decided to make it my first recipe on this blog!
Good quality ingredients are essential! It’s difficult to find fresh cream in Singapore, but I’m so excited to have found the BEST fresh cream (in a packet) at Oh Deli on East Coast Road. They also stock the best Full Cream Milk, which is lightly pasteurised and un-homogenised, which means it retains so much of it’s goodness that is usually lost through processing. It costs a bit more, but it really is worth it.
Here it is, at the special request of Michael Giblin, who’s comment on my Welcome post on Facebook was ‘Inspirational Rene…..Looking forward to the journey..and hey, if you can somehow slip ‘Ice cream ” and/or ”chocolate” into the mix, I’ll be forever grateful …lol….’! This is for you Mick!
Home Made Vanilla Ice Cream
600ml Fresh Organic Single Cream
1 Can Condensed Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Beat the cream until stiff. Fold the Condensed Milk into the Cream.
Stir in the Vanilla. Pour into a Freezer Safe dish – I like to use a glass/pyrex dish.
Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours and it’s ready to serve!
NO Ice Cream Maker needed!!!! You can double the recipe for a dinner party! You can add just about anything to this mixture before freezing! Here are some ideas!
