BONE BROTH / CHICKEN STOCK

The basics of all good food is a nutritional bone broth or chicken stock!!! It is one of the oldest recipes around and famous for its healing qualities! Packed with minerals and goodness that heals the gut and feeds the cells in our body! A staple one should always have available in the freezer at all times! It really is SO EASY!!!

BONE BROTH

Ingredients:

Whole Chicken, preferably hormone and antibiotic free OR

Bones from Grass Fed, antibiotic and hormone free meat

1 Carrot, roughly chopped

1 Onion, roughly chopped

1 Stalk Celery, roughly chopped

A splash of Apple Cider Vinegar

Method:

  • Cover all ingredients with filtered water in a Slow Cooker

  • Place on lid and set according to your Slow Cooker’s instructions, to 8 hrs

  • Once cooled, strain the liquid into a bowl and you have the Golden Elixir to be used in Soups and Stews, or to be enjoyed as a broth!

  • Bone broth has healing properties and is believed to heal the gut.
